Tide Capital
Tide Capital is a leading asset manager and advisor for energy-transition related real asset financing. We focus on the de-carbonization of commercial transport and industrial production. In transport, we offer financing solutions for low emissions shipping vessels, commercial vehicles, and heavy equipment. For industry, we offer financing solutions for the fixed infrastructure needed to increase sustainable energy use and de-carbonize industrial processes.
Our innovative technology platform supports our financing solutions with granular, detailed tracking of their climate impact. We provide this to both commercial operators and investors, empowering their own ESG reporting and offering the opportunity to operate in compliance with the EU's taxonomy for sustainable investment.
We believe that focused financial solutions are critical for de-carbonizing the global economy. Read our central thesis.

Climate-Tracked Financing
Climate-Tracked Financing is a Tide innovation. It uses innovative digital architecture to solve the growing complexity of operating and reporting on an end-to-end value chain for ESG or climate-focused infrastructure. It supports the sustainable operation of Tide-financed assets and provides turn-key, granular and auditable climate reporting to both operators and investors. Climate-Tracked Financing is a key pillar of Tide's Article 9 investment strategy (as defined by the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations).
In Tide's heavy equipment fleet leasing solutions, the Climate-Tracked Financing platform solves the challenges of generating accurate data about usage (for climate abatement analysis) and of sourcing renewable energy for vehicles and heavy equipment which are charged at multiple locations or while on the go. Magnifying this problem, upcoming regulatory change will move the energy source accounting period from yearly to hourly (and then onwards to quarter hourly). This means that renewable energy guarantees of origin have to be matched to actual consumption at the time and point in which it happens. With increasing demands to move to fully accounted, zero-emissions operations, municipalities and commercial operators need Tide's turnkey solution for their battery electric or hydrogen vehicle fleets.
With the flexibility of Tide's technology platform, Climate-Tracked Financing of Tide's real-asset solutions is approached on an asset-by-asset basis. Using telemetry generated by the assets as they opperate, Climate-Tracked Financing enables and accounts for renewable energy sourcing, abated emissions analyses, or generate other climate-impact metrics as is relevant to the infrastructure type.
Turnkey, audit-ready ESG operations and accounting for operators and investors
Example: Climate Tracked Heavy Equipment Leasing
Tide's Climate-Tracked Financing solutions use our technology platform to capture vehicle & equipment usage and charging data. Each individual vehicle's power consumption is automatically matched against renewable energy certificates of origin. Municipalities and commercial operators can charge their vehicles and equipment from any (grid-connected) source within the European Economic Area and be certain that the energy consumed has been matched against purchased certificates of origin for renewable energy fed into the grid.
1: Charging energy consumption data captured by Tide's technology platform
2: Exact hour-by-hour energy consumption matched against purchased certificates of origin for renewable energy fed-in to the grid
3: Municipalities, commercial operators, limited partners, and co-investors provided with audit-ready, zero-emissions ESG reporting
